The Goat on a Boat Puppet Theatre is a non-profit puppet theatre committed to introducing young children and their families to a lifelong love of theatre and the creative arts. We are among only 50 established puppet theatres listed by the Puppeteers of America (the only national organization of puppeteers, www.puppeteers.org). Through puppet shows, puppet playgroups, family workshops, and special events, Goat on a Boat invites families in the community to be entertained and to become involved in their own cultural and creative education. Come play with us!
When visiting puppeteers from up and down the East Coast and beyond come to our stage, they are professionals and charge us their professional fees. Currently, ticket sales and class registrations are our main source of income. Sometimes, we bring the gift of puppetry to you at a cost to us. Our budget is small but our theatre is built with love and integrity. By becoming a member of Goat on a Boat, you can become a part of our future and grow with us.
